Hi All,

This is an issue with the new Exchange Manager CC that Adobe will be fixing shortly.

However you can just try to install the extension again or install a different one first, sometimes it just works.

Could you please specify also your exact OS version?

Greetings,
George

Hi George,
I tried to install the extension again and then a different one first but at no avail...
I'm using Windows 7 / 64bit Professional
Hope this will help you to fix the issue

I am using OS X 10.8.4

I tried installing again and it still says it "does not contain a valid signature"

Looking forward to progress, thanks.

I've just uploaded a new file called: dmxBootstrap-1.0.1.zxp

It is under the Download ZXP button on www.dmxzone.com/go/21759/dmxzone-bootstrap

Could you download it and see if it installs now?

Let me know how it goes.

Greetings,
George

Hi Bill,

The new ZXP should fix only the "Unable to update database" error.

As for the "does not contain a valid signature" error, please go to the Extensions Manager Tools / Preferences and switch off "Show warning when installing unsigned ZXP extensions"

Let me know if this works for you

Hi Emanuele,

Is it a clean Extension Manager CC installation? Is that your first extension that you are installing? Can you try to reinstall it again directly after the error?

Hi George,

Yes it's a clean Extension Manager CC installation and yours is not the first extension I installed... the other ones worked fine but yours doesn't... I tried also to reinstall the extension again directly after the error but I still got the same message...

Hi again George,
I wanted to tell you that I tried also to delete the folder C:\Users\EMANUELEWS\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC\en_US\Configuration\Third Party Source Code\bootstrap and reinstall the extension but it didn't work even this time...

OK - once again we have updated the extension here on DMXzone. So download the latest and give it go! It should install fine now!

Note this is for people who had "Unable to update database " error only.

George

I'm having similar problem but perhaps it is a version compatibility problem. The updater keeps telling me that an update is available, but then after downloading nothing is updated.

I finally found this thread and downloaded the MXP for Dreamweaver CS but now the extensions manager says it requires a later version of Dreamweaver. (I have version 11 installed and it says the extension requires 11.5 or later.)

So is it that the DMX updater is persistently telling me about an update that doesn't apply to my product? If so, is there a way to tell it to only look for extensions that are compatible with my product?
