Any ideas about how to solve this particular node.js error?

With these two Bootstrap 3 extensions, I can neither update them or remove them using the DMX Extension Manager 1.08. I am trying to enable these extensions for use with Dreamweaver CC 2015 for Mac.

I just installed another extension without problem.

Can anyone help? ...pt

Hi Phil,

Are you using a localized version of Dreamweaver?

Hi Phil,

We have an update ready, that might fix your problems. Could you please try it, before we release it and let me know if it works for you?

You can download the OSX version from:

www.dmxzone.com/beta/DMXzone-Extension-Manager-Mac.dmg

Please install this new 1.09 version and let me know if it solves your problems.

Greetings,
George

Hi, George.

I just tried v1.09. It also does not work. Instead of the previous node.js error, I now get the message: "Error installing extension! The file insertbar.xml is corrupted."

The same error was thrown when trying to update either DMXzone Bootstrap 3 or Bootstrap 3 Elements.

I got an almost identical error when trying to completely remove these two extensions (to try starting over with a clean installation, not an update). In that case, it was "Error removing extension! The file insertbar.xml is corrupted."

Aha well - now at least we know what the problem is

Somehow your insertbar.xml file got corrupted. Could you zip and mail it to me?

You can find it at Macintosh HD/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CC 2015/<language>/Configuration/Objects

Mail it to

To fix the problem - you might want to delete it, it will be rebuild but you will need to reinstall all the Extensions. Just click Reinstall All in the Installed tab in DMXzone Extension Manager.

George

George,

As suggested, I deleted the insertbar.xml file, then restarted Dreamweaver. I was then able to Reinstall All the extensions. I haven't tried running any extensions yet, but so far so good.

I inspected the old and new insertbar.xml files in a text editor. While the new one has 400+ lines of XML, the old one had nothing! Just a blank file, so there is nothing to send you.

Thanks for your help. ...pt
