I store filename with its extension in database record. When I rename the record name, I want to rename the corresponding file.

How do I pass the renamed name as update value?

Hello Firdaus,
This issue has been fixed in the latest update of the extension (now you should be able to pick the the name of the rename step in the data picker ).
Please make sure to update it using DMXzone EM.

Hi Firdaus,

Normally you should be able to pick in the data picker the name of the rename step - and it will contain the new name. However seems there is a bug that prevent it from showing in the data picker. We will fix it in the next update.

For now you can just enter it manually like {{fileRename1}} when you need the new name.

Greetings,
george

Hello George,

Thank you for your response.

On related issue, is it normal when I tick Overwrite in File Rename, the action will remove the file when the renamed file is same with original? In my update form, there are few items, user not necessarily update the file name. When filename is not changed, the action will remove the file. I think it should just overwrite with the same name?

Thank you again.
