Hi,
When I update a field that includes a GBP £ sign the resulting html displays an odd "A" character with an accent.
I have encountered this elsewhere and it was a character encoding issue.

The old HTML 5 Editor works ok and does display the £ sign as it should.

Is this possibly something to do with the new way the form submits in app connect?

I do not have this problem with the old way of submitting the form fields via the HTML5 Server Executors

Hi Simon,
Please make sure that your database table collation is set to UTF-8.

Hi Teodor,

Yes, the collation is set to UTF-8.

As I said, the problem only occurs with the new app connect way of submitting the form data. Nothing has changed on the DB side. Everything works OK with old HTML 5 Executor

I just tested submitting the GBP £ sign with App connect - within a text area, and the value sent to the db is the right one. There must be something wrong either on your page, or with your DB table collation.
Please send us a link to your page to and enable the output option in server connect for the insert step.

Hi Teodor/George

I have set up 2 test pages. 1 page uses App Connect to update a DB field, the other page uses Jquery and the old HTML5 Data Bindings.

Both pages use the same server connect file, and update the same field in the database.

As you will see, this points to a bug with the App Connect way of posting the form fields.

Try entering £ on each page and see the results..... I sent you an email with the pages.

Hi Teodor,
Yes it's still live. You just need to replace the "," for "." ***/test-jquery.html

Also, any news on the Mutli Image Upload bug we talked about with asp.net? You said this was an easy fix
