How the heck do I make the slideshow transparent?
If I change the wmode to transparent, the slideshow does not show up.

do you mean the slideshow or the flash album? i've been having the same problem with the flash album generator. i follow the instructions to delete the bg entry and set wmode to transparent and i get a white background ... however i fixed it by editing the param, which was missing the wmode.

add:

<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />

my problem now is that though internet explorer now shows a transparent background, some of the gecko engine still show the white background - opera, netscape and, intermittently (because on some pages it does, on some it doesnt't) firefox
