A number of users have reported a problem with the uploader, but only when using FireFox 33.1. It works fine in IE, Chrome and Safari.

FireFox is still a really popular browser and it should work. I am using the latest version of the uploader.

Thanks
Hans

Hi Hans,
There are no any known issues with Firefox. Could you please provide a link to your page?

Hi Teodor,
Not easy as it is part of an admin section for our blog users. If you want, I can send you my own test account details and you can see what happens.

I have scripted a "bypass" for FireFox users, so they get the single file upload and that works fine.

The problem is caused by the fact parent paths are disabled on your server.

You could enable parent paths on your server ( www.dmxzone.com/go/5425/asp-error-disallowed-parent-path/ )

This is the actual error on your page:

QuoteServer.MapPath() error 'ASP 0174 : 80004005'

Invalid Path Character(s)

/blog/ScriptLibrary/incSIP2Class.asp, line 508

An invalid '/' or '\' was found in the Path parameter for the MapPath method.

Hi Teodor,
I don't think that this is the issue, if parent paths were not enabled, then so many of our other pages would return errors and it does definitely work with Chrome, IE, Safari and Opera. It's only with Firefox that we have the upload problem.

I have asked our hosting company to confirm that parent paths have been enabled. I do recall that when we set the site up, this was also updated to allow for parent paths.

Really strange issue indeed. What version of AMU and Pure Upload are you using?

I am using "Pure ASP File Upload 3.1.3" and AMU is 1.05. I also use Smart Image Processor 2.5.7 to resize the images. I have also re-enabled the script that changes the upload link to use the single file version for Firefox, so that our users can continue without issues.
