The internet is full of potential threats, from cyberbullying to exposure to inappropriate content. But can parental control apps truly block these dangers, or are they just a temporary fix? What tools do you use to educate your child about online risks while maintaining a healthy balance between monitoring and freedom? Replies

Honestly, no parental control app can replace open conversations. I do use one with an App Blocker feature to limit screen time and block questionable sites, but kids are clever — they’ll find workarounds or get exposed through friends anyway. What really helps is checking in regularly, watching stuff together sometimes, and encouraging my daughter to tell me when something online makes her uncomfortable. We also play some games together so I can see what she’s into.
