For process engineers, the design and configuration flexibility of stainless steel filtration systems is a major asset. Filter housings can be fabricated in vertical or horizontal orientations, single or multi-round configurations, duplex or triplex arrangements for uninterrupted operation, and custom diameters and lengths to match flow requirements. Internally, the housings are built to accept a wide variety of cartridge styles, including DOE (double open end), SOE (single open end), code 7, code 222, and many others, depending on the sealing method required. Some systems may even support a mix of filtration and adsorption media, combining depth filtration with chemical removal in a single vessel.
