i know this is off topic. but how could we update the text file with a php file instead of an aspx one. ive been trying to work it out but with no results. it should be as simple as writing the variable on the file, but its returning undefined for some reason.

Yes, you can update the text file with any server-side language including .NET or PHP. I don't write PHP though, so I can't help you with the code.
