Hack to set default uploaded folder?

I did not realize until I installed Advanced HTML Editor 3 that it required PHP/ASP Pure UPload. Oh well, not a problem, I thought. I program in ColdFusion and I'll just code an upload function then have the user browse to the upload folder for their images - but I cannot set up an upload folder without installing the PHP/ASP Upload add-on. Is there a way to bypass this requirement and manually set the folder where images would have been uploaded if I did use the PHP/ASP Add-on?

Failing that, when will the "browse server for image" function be added - that's more important than the upload with PHP/ASP add-on which is limited.

Hello Marlene,

we do not provide any customizing of editor code. In order to upload images you need the pure asp/php upload extension installed on your dreamweaver.

In order to have the "browse server for image" function you need the file Manager Add-on for Advanced HTML Editor 3 www.dmxzone.com/go?18970

I program in ColdFusion - not PHP or ASP so the extension you recommended will not work for me. I don't have PHP or ASP set up locally or even remotely.

What is the ETA on the proposed function "Browse Server for Image"? That would solve my problem. I know you want to sell the other extensions but in this case they are not a good answer for me. BTW - I've been a member since 2002 and have purchased almost every extension you offer.

------- I just re-read your response. Are you saying that if I purchase the File Manager extension I can use the "Browse Server for Image" and will not need to have any type of PHP/ASP extension installed???

Hello Marlene,

The add-ons require PHP/ASP/ASP.NET Server technology. Please check the screenshot:

ok - you broke me down! I have set up my local testing server for ASP - which would be the better add-on to use for uploading and managing images which will be displayed in the NIVO Slider ? - ASP Pure Upload, File Manager or the Image Gallery?

Do I need the Online Editor too?

Hello Marlene,

First - In order for you to use the upload and resize option in your Editor you need to have Pure Asp Upload 3 and Smart image processor asp 2 installed in your Dreamweaver.
Then - please check the following video under the videos tab here: www.dmxzone.com/go?18780 Using DMXzone Nivo Slider as an Add-on for the Advanced HTML Editor 3

You can use The Image Gallery add-on OR the File Manager add-on in your HTML Editor. It is just the file manager addon allowing you to upload and manage files different than only images.
