AHE3 keeps messing up my texts. Will not let me upload images. Went back to 3.3.1 still no joy.
I get this  for spaces. Talking with support doesn't really help either. Charset in database and page is UTF-8. All the ambiguity whilst waiting for updates to jquery 1.10 doesn't really help either.
Although I have been very loyal to DMXZONE and own almost every extension they ever made, I am seriously considering moving to Webassist to get WORKING extensions again

Hello Jacques,

Please check what is your database collation and this specific table collation. If you are seeing these symbols it surely is not UTF-8.
Also - what do you mean by "Will not let me upload images" ?
As long as i remember you had several issues that were caused by:
- Old jquery library version.
- Database table collation not set to UTF8_general_ci.

The extension is tested and working. the issue must be on your website. Please describe your problems a little more detailed so we can help you. Please provide a link to your page.

Database is utf-8, table is utf-8, field is utf-8

About image upload, I reported this to you in person last week. It keeps saying my my folder does not have the right privileges although it has rwx. It appeared the authorisation files are corrupt. I have to copy them from earlier work to get it working

Once again:
The database collation should be exactly "utf8" (not utf-8_ANYTHING_ELSE_HERE)
The table character-set should be as on your screenshot: utf8_general_ci

The problem you reported last week was resolved, described by you as:

QuoteThrough server file management I deleted the folder. Made a new folder, changed permissions. Now it is working.

So it was not an editor issue, but your server permissions issue!

I got the text part working as should, but pse don't ask how I did it. BTW, I forgot to mention that I also copied authorisation files from another site and placed them in the folder

I am happy to hear it is working now.
By the way the authorization files are nothing special. They had always been absolutely empty 0-byte files.

I know they should be, but somehow or somewhere they got corrupted. I blame CS4. Worked fine with CS5.5. I have to blame someone or something
