I have received this error when trying to upload a photo using the html editor. I checked and the authorization files are in the folder, and permissions set to 755. Also, I can upload images using phpupload without this error happening. Here is the error I get:
"An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security."
I suspect I need to set mod security somehow. Any help?

Hello Tom,

Please check if your mod_security does not set any restrictions to the upload folder.

This is on shared hosting so I guess I can to contact the hosting company.

Here is a question though, why does this get triggered by the advanced html editor, but the php pureupload utility does not trigger the same error and files upload using that. I am wondering if this is something I can control ... or if a change to the editor would then allow it. I would have assumed the editor used the pureupload utility but I guess it doesn't.

Advanced HTML Editor uses the Pure Upload in order to upload files. You'd better contact your hosting company and ask them to check what causes the error.

Hello Joe,
No, if the mod_security is enabled on your server we cannot override this.. You should contact your hosting company and ask them to check their security settings and fix this for you.

Your hosting company are the only one who can adjust the mod_security restrictions for this operation.
Our upload process does not require ANY special permissions/modifications and work fine on standard server configuration.

Well just to let you know it is shared hosting on GoDaddy and they refuse to change it. So I'm pretty much hosed now as my client was talked into moving to their new server since they are phasing out their old server and now this product doesn't work anymore.

Hi Joe,
Are you sure the error message you are seeing is the same as in the first post of this topic?
Can you please provide a link to your page with the resize enabled to: ?
By the way, just a personal opinion, after all of these years it turns out the godaddy hosting is the most problematic among our users. They always turn on some settings that they say are "security settings" without even knowing what they are doing..

Sorry I haven't replied sooner.
I understand most people do not like go daddy.
I got an error that was close to that but now that I double check it didn't have the mod_security part in it. It just said couldn't get an appropriate representation of the imageresizer file.

I will have to create a page soon that isn't behind a login and get it to you. Just haven't had time. Thanks for your response.
