I just purchased the Advance HTML Editor 3 and have some questions that I could not find answers to and so would appreciate a response:
1) When the Editor 3 is added to a page is does not create a complete form but only adds the textarea control. Is that normal ?
2) There is a Save button available on the Editor which I presume is to save the document after editing, yet the interface when adding Editor 3 to a page provides no linkage between this button and any action that might ocur when clicking it. How do you utilize the Save button? Is there a code example?
3) Can the buttons and toolbars that hold them be scalled larger than what the default provides? If so, is there an example of how to do that?
4) When using the Image Gallery Add-On: Can I use it on a server that does not have PHP/MySQL installed or is PHP/MySQL absolutely required ?

Hello Peter,
1) Yes this is how the editor is supposed to work.
2) Can you please be a little more detailed which exactly save button are you referring to?
3) Changing the button styles you can see there are 24 or 32px button sets that you can use.
4) Image Gallery addon does not require Mysql or any other database to work.

Hello Teodor:
1) Regarding my question about the SAVE button on the Editor 3 toolbar: I tried to attach an image but the editor on the "Reply To This Topic" does not allow it so I am including a LINK to the image where I have indicated the two buttons I am referring to on Editor 3 Toolbars 1) SAVE and 2) CLOSE. Here's the link to the image:
www.convergencewebs.com/TEST_HTMLEDITOR3/Editor3_TOOLBARS.jpg (note that there is an underscore between "TEST" and "HTMLEDITOR3" in the above link). I'd also like to mention that I've reviewed the manual for the Editor 3 and it says nothing about these two particular buttons.

2) Regarding my question on the Image Gallery Add-On: you said I don't need a MySQL database, but does the gallery depend on PHP to operate?
THanks Teodor

The save and close buttons are used by the Online Page Editor Add-on

The server technologies supported by the editor and its addons are PHP/ASP/ASP.NET -> If the server type is not specified in the Site Definition in your Dreamweaver then you will be asked to select it in the Editor.

OK, undertstood. It would be nice if the user manual (PDF) mentioned these two buttons since it would clear up the mystery.

Regarding the Image Gallery Add-on: You stated it does not require MySql, but does it require PHP on the server to function? (I have a server that does not have PHP)

Just curious - what do you mean by: (I have a server that does not have PHP) ? What server are you running exactly?

Yes, I have a local IIS7 server (running on a Vista 64-bit machine) that does not have PHP installed (have not been able to install PHP onto it so far). However, I did purchase the Image Gallery add-on and it works quite well even on the local server without PHP - so not having PHP installed on the server does not seem to make any difference because it works !
