Hi, My version of Advanced HTML Editor 3 is not working properly. It won't install in the extension manager: it needs a version of Dreamweaver between 12 and 15. So I installed it with the DMX dreamweaver extension manager (It still did not show in the Adobe Extension manager) It's shows in Dreamweaver now but as soon as I try to use it, Dreamweaver freezes. The reason I used the extension was that a form online did not work anymore. I found out that there was a javascript error (Dreamweaver told me) in dmxEditor.min.js. When i replaced the file with an older file (from an earlier made site) the form worked well again. I still cannot use the extension so please advice!

Hello Anton,
The extensions installed using DMXzone Extension Manager are not supposed to be displayed in Adobe Extension Manager... If you are using DMXzone Extension Manager, you do no longer need to open/check the extensions in Adobe Extension Manager.
As for DW freezing - we are not able to recreate such a behavior. Please be a little more detailed explaining step by step what exactly are you doing prior to this? What exactly do you mean by "I found out that there was a javascript error (Dreamweaver told me) in dmxEditor.min.js."? What is your OS and DW version? Is this happening on a blank page also?

Hi Teodor,
The problem started with an site where the edit-form was not working anymore. Eventually changing the dmxEditor.min.js file for an older file made it working again.
If I use a blank page and try to install Advanced HTML editor 3 Dreamweaver freezes. Sent you a screen capture of the result. www.kunstzyde.com/scherm.jpg
I use an iMac OS version 10.10.3 and Dreamweaver CC 2014
Hope You have any ideas,

thanks
Anton

From what i see/understand there is some problem with your Dreamweaver... Somehow your DW Configuration/Installation got corrupted. We recommend a new fresh DW install.

Hi Teodor,
I came to the same conclusion and installed Dreamweaver again, no result and same problem but only (as before) with the Advanced HTML editor 3. Other functions work well
Any chance that an other program or Mac extension like Memory Clean is the culprit?

Hi Teodor,

I reinstalled Dreamweaver again and shut off some of the (newer) Mac extensions and yes it's working properly now. The message is that some other software will have effect on Dreamweaver. I'll be more careful what to install.
greetings,
Anton
