I am trying to upload an images into a unique folder via the user ID from a dataset but it does not like when I bind the Unique User ID using the data binder, is there a way of doing this?

Unfortunately this is not currently possible.

I understand but letting old extension fall further and further behind is not right. I am now having to use 3 different extensions to manage database actions, 1) native dreamweaver for the HTML Editor, 2) Server Connect (also causing me trouble and I cannot filter results using anything other than =, <=, >=. I have another ticket in for this awaiting some help) and because of the issues I am having with the Server Connect I have had to reverted back to 3) the older version of the data binder that works perfectly and gives no issues. Something is not right here and there seems to be a compatibility issue that is frustrating.

Surely more should be done to get the old extensions updated, as it is you must see why things get confusing for us users.

Hello Keith,
An updated version of the Editor is coming in the near future. Also - you do not have to use anything different than Server connect now in order to connect to your database.
Unfortunately we are not able to recreate the "contains" issues you are having when trying to filter a data source. Please Send us a link to your page with problems.

Hi Teodor

Please see message sent in last week regarding my issues with Server Connect below. No sure if the page link will get carried over below so you can find the page here: suffolkdays.uk/1/admincp/t2_1d.php?User=6

I have set this domain up solely to demonstrate the issue and the files on the site are only those relating to this test page. This is so odd a problem and I have looked and looked to see if it is down to me but cannot fathom it out. The problem is consistent though and is very restrictive for the work I am doing.

My message of last week was to a post titled "Filter Comparisons Not Working" and follows this.

I have been using the Server Connect for some time with no problem but now I am unable to get the filter to work. To show my problem I have set up a page with the server Connect, the dataBindings extension and the dreamweaver native recordset to show a nil result for Server Connect but accurate results from Databindings and native dreamweaver server action. The lint to the page is here

I was going to attach the images of the settings but the link above does not work, I have added them to the page linked above so you can see what I am doing. This is so odd I keep questioning what I am doing hence why I have used a new hosting with just this page on it, but I am lost with this.

I would appreciate some help. I have removed the extension and reinstalled it with no change.

Regards

Keith

Hello Keith,
First - looking at your screenshots - you should no longer use the "old" method to connect to your db and make queries. ALL of these must only be done through the Server Connect, not through the Data Bindings/Database Connector extensions...
I just tested your case locally - filtering by an url parameter, using "contains" and it works perfectly. I believe you messed up the things trying to mix different connection methods ... My advice is to setup the page again and do this entirely in the Server Connect.

I started this test just using Server Connect and it would not work as I have explained, I set the other two queries up with the data bindings (that does user Server Connect) and dreamweaver just to demonstrate that the search does work across all three queries. I am struggling to see why the dreamweaver native database connection is interfering with the Server Connect results.

I was using Server Connect and it just stopped working on anything other than =, <=, or >=, when I tried "contains" or any of the others it will not work.

I have had to use Dreamweaver database connection to be able to use the HTML Editor 3 so have not messed it up by choice, I had no option and I was only using Server Connect before that.

I am working on a website that was being built using Server Connect, now to set up that site again will mean me starting from scratch and I have done a lot of work on it so that is not practical to do. There is a problem here that I do need help with.

Keith

Hi - Yes I am sure it is something I have done and appreciate the help. I do not want to show the server connection and password on the forum, can you send me a email address to use.
