Can the default tabbed be set by a querystring form another page?

I have a page with various hardware types and a buy and a sell link for each. the page that will have the tabs on will have a buy and a sell tab along with others.Can I open the relevant tab buy using a querystring from the hardware type page?

Hello Bob.
What i can think off is to create two mirror pages which will represent your content. The one should have onpageload event
Buy tab displayed, the other onpageload the Sell Tab displayed.
