I have Adobe Creative Cloud of which I am currently learning web design and development using Dreamweaver CC 2015.2 Using DMXzone Extension Manager I have downloaded the depreciated Database, binding and server behaviours for Dreamweaver, as part of my HND in Interactive Media is creating a dynamic website.

I am able to connect to the database, add new data to it, however, when it comes to deleting data this does not work. I create a new php file, delete the content, then go to the Server Behaviours tab, click on the '+' sign and choose 'Delete Record'. From this I get an error message:

While executing onBlur in DeleteRecord.html, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
At line 173 of file "Macintosh HD:Users:my-name:Library:Application Support:Adobereamweaver CC
2015:en_US:Configuration:ServerBehaviorsHP_MySQLeleteRecord.js":
_ColumnList has no properties

As the Server Behaviors are being deprecated by Adobe - you should really move on to our DMXzone Server Connect and Database Connectivity Collection PHP / Database Connectivity Collection ASP!

Hi George,

I have purchased DMXzone Database Updater PHP and installed it. However, I am getting a similar problem for some reason. I am using the Extension Manager and it is showing as installed.

In Dreamweaver CC 2017 I see that under the Site dropdown menu there is now a 'DMXzone Database Updater' option with 2 further option of 'Manage Database Actions' and 'Manage Database Executors'. When I select either one of these I get a pop-up warning.

'Manage Database Actions:'
Warning: 'The following JavaScript error(s) occurred: unable to open script file "Macintosh HD:Applications: Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2017:Configuration:SharedMXzone:dmxDatabaseConnector:dmxDatabaseCommon_lib.js" (error 2).

Followed this route into the 'shared' folder but there is no DMXzone folder. (have the same problem on my Acer laptop too).

It would not be so bad if I had time to spare. However, I am currently studying at college on a HND Interactive Media course where one of the units requires us to build a dynamic website using Dreamweaver CC. The learning outcome states we need to create a database connection etc. using Dreamweaver CC. Have advised them that the Database, Bindings and Server Behaviours are now depreciated, but this has not had any effect.

I would really appreciate any advice you can give me. Please do not say learn PHP/MySQL as I am already doing this. However, I have spent £82 on an extension I cannot use at present. As a student, I have not got this sort of money to throw away.

Hi David,

Just reinstall the Database extensions and also make sure you have installed the DMXzone Server Connect and HTML5 Data Bindings extensions. See also the Server Connect Manual - to learn about the new ways of server database connectivity with Server Connect and DMXzone Database Connector and Updater

Greetings,
George
