Strange error. I seemingly converted a Bootstrap 2 web page to a Bootstrap 3 page. BUT ... when any time I try saving this specific file I get this message:
"Making this change would require changing code that is locked by a template or translator. The change will be discarded."

While that message is on the screen, this line of code is highlighted:
"<script type="text/javascript" src="bootstrap/3/js/bootstrap.js"></script>"

When I click on the error box, that highlighted code is suddenly replaced with this line of code:
"<script type="text/javascript" src="bootstrap/js/bootstrap.js"></script>"

I have cleaned the Dreamweaver cache. Started and restarted Dreamweaver. Problem still continues.

Addendum... In addition to the above line of code change....
I delete this line (I don't believe it is necessary anymore with Bootstrap3):
"<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="bootstrap/css/bootstrap-responsive.css" />"

... and it mysteriously returns after clicking on the error box mentioned above.

Could this possibly be a conflict of having Bootstrap 2 and Bootstrap 3 installed at the same time?

Hello,
Can you please provide a link to the bootstrap 2 page that you are trying to convert?
There is are no problems to run both versions together, even on one site.

Here is the link (just this page only):

I am not attempting to run Bootstrap 2 on this web page at all. In fact, I want the page totally converted to Bootstrap 3 and eliminate all references to Bootstrap 2 which are no longer needed. But this error message keeps removing the Bootstrap 3 Code that the conversion process placed there and replaces it with the previous Bootstrap 2 code.

Not sure if it is related, but now, when trying to save that same page, I am also receiving the error message:

While executing onLoad, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred: At line 336 of file: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5\Configuration\Commands\dmxUpdateHead.htm": The object is not currently contained in a document.

Hi David,

Do you have DMXzone Bootstrap 2 installed next to DMXzone Bootstrap 3?
If so make sure it is also the latest version.

Greetings,
George

I did not realize there was a newer version of Bootstrap 2. I upgraded and the problem seems to be gone. Thanks.

Hi George - I am really confused. IS there a DMXzone Bootstrap 2? My latest updated extension showed a version 1.20 and a quick search on DMXzone couldn't unearth a version 2.

Thanks,
Linda

Hi Linda,

The free DMXzone Bootstrap Extension is based on Bootstrap 2 framework, That's why we call it Bootstrap 2
