I have recently updated to your new extension bootstrap 3 v3.1.1 extension. After update dreamweaver crashes every single time I click the "live" button on dreamweaver to see a live view of my site. So I uninstalled the whole extension however now I get a javascript error whenever I open up dreamweaver CS6. I have seen support articles that simply say to update the extension however I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same issue. When the extension is installed I cannot click on the live button and when I do it crashes when the extension is removed I get the javascript error:

The following Javascript error(s) occurred:
Unable to ope script file: "Macintoshi HD: Applications:Adobe DreamweaverCS6:Configuration:SharedMXzone:dmxBootstrap3:dmxBootstrap3_lib.js"(error2).

How do I do away with this error as even without the extension it is still looking for a reference to a javascript file.

You guys need to better QA you products.

Sincerely,

Andre

Teodor,

Deleting the cache dose absolutely nothing to help with the error. Plese stop telling your users that removing the cache is the fix as I have seen this in other postings. I still get the javascript error when I launch Dreamweaver. There has to be another place in dreamweaver that is holding the reference to the javascript file that does not get removed when the extension gets removed. My dreamweaver now gives me the error over and over and it is obviously your extension since it clearly states that in the error message that it is looking for "dmxBootstrap3:dmxBootstrap3_lib.js" Please send me careful instructions on how to remove this error so I can get dreamweaver functional again.

Thanks

Andre

Hello Andre,
The error messages like the one you provided appear when your Dreamweaver Installation/Configuration gets corrupted. The cache file, that is explained in the article i sent you is usually the one that gets corrupted.
You need to:
1. Close Dreamweaver
2. Delete the cache file (as explained in the article i mentioned in my previous post)
3. Restart Dreamweaver - it creates a new cache file
4. Install the latest Bootstrap 3 and Bootstrap Elements 3 extensions
5. Restart Dreawemaver

Teodor,

As I already explained, those steps do not help. To be exact:
1. close Dreamweaver
2. Delete Cache File (as explained)
3. Restart Dreamweaver
4. Error Appears Again upon launching dreamweaver!!!
The following Javascript error(s) occurred:
Unable to ope script file: "Macintoshi HD: Applications:Adobe DreamweaverCS6:Configuration:SharedMXzone:dmxBootstrap3:dmxBootstrap3_lib.js"(error2).
5. If I install bootstrap 3 and elements extension, yes the javascript error goes away but I get a more serious problem. the problem is that when I click the "live button" then dreamweaver crashes completely.

Your suggestion of deleting the cache does not fix the problem and I cannot have the extension installed as I need to use the "live button" so I need to find a way to remove the extension without that javascript error. There is obviously a reference to that javascript that does not get removed when the extension gets removed. Where can I find that reference so I can stop the error from appearing since you guys do not have a fix for the fact that your extension crashes dreamweaver 6 upon clicking the live button.

Please get me an answer to my questions as your application obvioulsy places a reference to that file somewhere. Ask your development team and stop telling your customers to do the same thing that does not work.

Thanks you

Andre

Hello Andre,
I think i already described when the issue appears.
And if Dreamweaver crashes when hitting the live view button this is obviously caused by a corrupted installation.
I hope you understand that our extensions are pretty well tested before any release, and if the issue was caused by our extension(s) the rest of our users (over 100 000) would've also experienced the same problem, when switching to live view...
What we recommend is a fresh clean Dreamweaver installation.
