I had everything working fine, up until today when this error suddenly showed. I used the upload feature yesterday to add images to new articles, however today it no longer functions.
This is really bad, as we make use of the facility for site users to send in consultations along with images and this is key to our business.
I do have Wappler, however have not used it, as there are massive differences in the sites I previously created and rebuilding them to allow editing in Wappler is not an option.
Any help with this will be apprecaited.

Hans, just download and install the latest version of Pure ASP Upload 3. Then locally remove the /ScriptLibrary/incSIP2Class.asp file, open and reapply Pure ASP Upload 3 on any of your pages using it. A new /ScriptLibrary/incSIP2Class.asp file will be generated - just upload it to your server!

Thanks, I did do that, however I now get an error :

Image Processor: No component detected
There is no supported component detected.

There was some workaround with removing a line in the file incPU3Class.asp to comment out the one line and replace it with another:

 'If AdoDbVersion < 25 Then
	If AdoDbVersion <> 10 AND AdoDbVersion < 25 Then

This worked 100% until yesterday when things broke.

Well this "workaround" is not required when you upload the latest incSIP2Class.asp file to your server ... the no component detected error is something completely different. This means there is no image processing component installed on your server and you are probably using smart image processor asp there.

Thanks, but this does not really help explain why it worked fine yesterday and not today?? So mystified and I am really trying hard to use Wappler for specific pages, but not having much luck.

Well the code cannot just stop working if anything hasn't changed...
Most probably some changes to your server have been applied.

Also - all the ancient Server Behaviors in DW are not supported in Wappler. Wappler uses new, modern code while the DW server behaviors are old and they have been deprecated already.

Yeah, maybe, I got the following from the host:

Hans,

Thank you for reaching out.

Looking into the issue, this appears to be related to a asp tool called ActiveX Data Objects. This tool is used in a number of third party uploading tools that are used iin a website's design. At this time we recommend reaching out to your web designer to have the tool updated to the latest version, as the version specified was superceded by version 3.0 in 2017. Looking at our internal tools, there does not appear to have been any automatic updates pushed today or yesterday to either of your devices.

Still really annoyed that it just stopped and no proper answer from the host.

The last error reported has nothing to with ADO and uploads - it mentions missing image process componentson the server. The ADO error you initially reported has been fixed by the workaround you mentioned and then in the latest update of Pure ASP Upload 3 from like a few years ago as i explained above.

Well the fix is included in the latest version of the component ... You need to reapply it on your page so that the asp file is regenerated and then upload it to your server.

I already explained this in my post above:

Teo,

What do you mean with Open and reapply ?.

My Dev workstation has this firewall preventing that access to the internet for validating the serial number when reinstalling PureUpload 3, I need a verification code for reapplying Uploads.... Sent an email to the Sale address and still waiting for this code.

I am a beginner, thank much for you fast reply

Well ... open your page in DW and reapply the server behavior! The same way you applied it initially.

Not sure what verification code are you referring to. You need the DMXzone Extension Manager to install the extension:
