Hello,
Unfortunately there is no such an option available in HTML5 Data Bindings. Sessions are server-side and the databindings are javascript client-side and can't read the sessions.

But isn't there a possibilty to show/hide a button when a user is logged in with your Security Provider extension. Don't you use sessions there?

Well this is possible using the dmxSecurityId session variable. It is described how to use it here. www.dmxzone.com/go/22317/fetching-user-details-and-filtering-data-sources-by-user-identity

Please consider to extend your extension in order to use other sessions too.

That video no longer exists and the session variable dmxSecurityId no longer works either.

Did you guys change anything in the extensions?? It used to work perfectly now it doesn't.

See my response in the other thread with the solution to the variable issue. it's too bad that this seems to be pretty powerful and great software with Terrrrrible documentation.

I've passed the ID filter bug to DMXZone weeks ago! Also filtering of recordset inside Connector is simply not working. There is still no official update available. DMXZone simply doesn't care on this. They want to sell new extensions and don't care of the rest/bugs. Absolutely unprofessional!

Hello all,

Brad is right - the video no longer exists, as we are in a process of updating the HTML5 Data Bindings, Server Connect and Security Provider. This will generate a new session variable name, that's why the old dmxSecurityId won't be available.
That is also the reason for the documentation to not be up to date yet.

I'm really sorry for the delayed updates, our developers are doing their best to provide them as soon as possible. Please do send an email to George Petrov: about this and let him know what troubles this causes to you all. Your feedback is important and appreciated.
