If you put a correctly formatted anchor tag in HTML Editor 3 or HTML Editor 2 it is completely removed.

<a name="oklahoma" id="oklahoma"></a> will be removed

<a name="oklahoma"> will work, however it requires hand coding as no program since Microsoft FrontPage creates anchor tags like that.

This has been an issue since 2004

Will this functionality be addressed at least in HTML Editor 3?

Note for those looking for a work around
Even this "<a name="oklahoma">" will be stripped if it is an table cell with no other content.

I suggest copying your working code somewhere for quick replacement should it be altered again.
