Wonderful

Congratulations DmxZone as a loyal customer ... I'm sure it will be a great tool as well as everything the company develops. I would like to congratulate the entire team for this wonderful decision to leave Dreamweaver.
Thank you

Hi Adriano and thank you for being our loyal customer! We will continue supporting DMXzone's extensions for Dreamweaver, as well as release more high quality extensions. You can choose, we're giving you just an alternative in case you want to build web applications in a real visual way using our extensions. With exclusive releases only for Wappler users :) Stay tuned, we are revealing the mystery step by step!
Sounds great!

Does sound like a great tool. Kind of like Muse but with dynamic capabilities? Does this mean that older extensions that have not been updated to App Connect will be abandoned? Such as Calendars and Google Maps etc? And will we have to re-create our projects outside of Dreamweaver in the new Application or will there be compatibility? Having just converted a lot of old HTML5 Data Bindings sites to App Connect I'm kind of worried that I'll have to do the same thing again with the new technology? Like many others we have invested a lot in to the DMX Extensions and are eager to know more..? Thanks for any further assurances.

Hello Dave, You will be able to export your DW site definitions and import them into Wappler, keeping all the settings so you can work with App and Server Connect and their addons there as well.

Congratulations, I look forward to the invitation to use it with great pleasure. The service will be included in the "yearly subscription" plan or it will have an extra cost? Thanks!
Exciting!

For so long I have been dreaming/hoping that one day a company would provide a state of the art software that combines visual designing AND connection with data. I'm quite sure this will be a hit! Even better if we can import DW site defs. But I do hope we won't get a massive reinvestment in buying all the new stuff. I just started spending money on all the new App Connect extensions, one year after I spend lots of money on Server Connect and HTML databinding extensions. Please take us loyal customers in consideration with the new offers. But foremost: Congrats with the efforts, I can't wait to see with what you come up with!
... dare I ask?

PLUS 100 if Zurb foundation gets also integrated!
Good to hear!

Happy to hear you're doing this. I hope we'll be able to move projects back and forth between the two platforms. Maybe not right at release time but within a year or so. This is a long-missing product that's badly needed.
Wow, I m exited!

But: Does it cost the same as if I would buy a Dreamweaver App? Thx gato
Which OS's?
September 30, 2017 by Greta Garberini
The only reason I use Windows on my Linux machine (via VM), is Dreamweaver. I more and more hate this dinosaur with half a dozen check 'nd spy software running as background apps. It's big, it's clumsy and it's outdated. I fully agree. It should have stayed with Macromedia. <Sigh> If Wappler can do this without needing windows or mac I will be the first to jump on this train. Would love to use DMX extensions as Bluefish snap-ons. Well at least I can dream of such a thing.

Hi Greta, We will initially support WIndows and Mac - but Linux is really easy to do with the Wappler engine - so we will add it directly afterwards. You can become our beta tester for Linux as well
Been waiting for this

I was hoping for this to happen for a long time ago and finally it is becoming a reality. A great move by Dmxzone. Can't wait to see the product in action.
Interesting sollution

The option to import site definitions from Dreamweaver, certainly make things really interesting. I will be curious as to what the cost of Wappler is going to be.
Looking forward!

Looking forward to seeing this

Looking forward to seeing this, it looks very interesting indeed. I'm sorry to be a pedant - I'm actually just trying to help - but in the line containing the phrase "and loosing its well-known...", the word should be spelt 'losing'.
Yippeeeee!

Adobe has caused me enough heartburn - they are soooo not-customer-orientated and care so little about staying on board with some of their great product lines (Photoshop, FireWorks, etc.) and have "improved" them to the point of uselessness. I just subscribed to Adobe's Cloud apps (yea.. Dreamweaver too) and within a month, they deprecated their Dreamweaver CC app to the point where it is useless to me (totally deprecated all the server behaviors to connect to databases). So "Good for You" that you are still interested in serving all of us designers and developers who do not know or do not want to program but use drag and drop to build and maintain our websites. Please let me know when Wappler is available (beta or first release) so I can tell Adobe what they can do with their ridiculous Cloud business model.
