if i have something like this

and i select data and want to remove the a tag. How do i go about doing this?

Is the question specific to the developpment of an extension,

because if not, then on the bottom bar of dreamweaver, you have the list of tag.

When selecting data, you should see, the tag text and a just before the data. Then select the tag a, right-click -> Remove Tag.

If it was specific to an extension, please precise.
