I'm developing a DW extension. I need to insert some text to the source directly to the cursor position. It is easy to do from Object extension or from Behaivor extension, But my extension is a Command.

Question 2:
How to get the offset of the current cursor position from the beginning of the document?

Both answers to your questions can be found in the pdf about extension development that has been written by Macromedia. Check out the extension development section at www.macromedia.com/support/ultradev

Q1: read the documentation on the DWfile in that pdf. It explains you how you can handle files and copies etc

Q2: There's also some documentation in that pdf on this. I don't know how to do it without the docs too <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
