When I use the Insert SSI feature in Dreamweaver it jams up my page I am inserting it into. We have numerous pages that we want to mirror and share from one site to many others and only want to update one file and not ten. I have opened a new document and applied the template we are using and then go to insert the SSI into the "editable region" it gives me an error in code from the template , which should be a separate entity. I am a little confused if anyone knows what I am talking about, thanks for any help.

Y'know, having used both templates and SSIs, I feel your pain.

If you can do SSI just do SSI and get rid of templates all together.
