Removing tags inserted by Extensions

Hi,
I have developed a very basic extension which will insert a <marquee> tag into the document.the object also insert a font tag which specifies the font style of the marquee
example
<marquee bgcolor="red"><font color="white">enter text here</font></marquee>

now in the document view when I delete the marquee in the document view only the font tag is removed and not the marquee tag ..
GUYS PLEASE HELP ME OUT WITH THIS.....

you didn't explain *how* you delete the marquee. When you select the marquee tag in the statusbar you can press the delete button at your keyboard. Then you'll notice that the complete contents of the tag will be deleted. When you right click on the marquee tag in the statusbar and then select Remove Tag only the tag itself will be deleted, not it's content.

When you are developing extensions like this there's nothing else you can do.

BTW: do you also have plans to create a property inspector for this extension?
