Hi..

Did you noticed that each released version of Dreamweaver doubles the size of setup file?

Is it reasonable to think that this new version justify the 60 Mb against the 30 Mb of Dreamweaver Ultra Dev 4?

I call this total disrespect for the customer, or, in other words, low quality code.

Hmmm.. considering that DreamweaverMX is now TWO products rolled into one, and with a considerable number of enhancements, I think we got off lightly.

Of course, if <b>you</b> can do better than Dreamweaver MX, and make it smaller than 60Mb, then I suggest you do that instead.

Also, because DW has such an 'open' architecture with all it's .html and .js configuration files the sizes can increase very much.

Also don't forget that the software now contains much and much more knowledge about server language (imagine all those code hints, tag libraries, code colors etc etc). Not to mention all the additional documentition which ha been added.

Also don't forget, that the current download is a Preview version (in other words a Beta).

Betas are known to be larger than their final releases because they still contain error-trapping code etc.

it would be great if they could add another 60Mb on to it and make it so that it doesn't crash everytime you apply css to multiple cells, edit JS behaviours, edit recordsets on remote servers, etc etc etc etc etc

and i'm tlaking about UD4, not the new one.

i have had so many illegal operations because of DW/UD that it's tatooed on my screen.

blah blah blah i can't do better blah blah blah but the customer is always right.
