Does anyone have any idea how Hotmail manages to highlight the whole message line when you check the check box?

Ive tried a few solutions but none work, I dont get anything.

Are they employing something other than basic javascript/css ?

Ive taken a look at the source, but it really messy ...

there is an extension which highlights an entire line... i'm not sure how you can implement it so that it's triggered by a checkbox status (i think you can maybe put an onChange or onClick behaviour on the chkbox itself), you'll have to manually modify the code.

The extension is called 'DW4 W3C Background Colour Changer' and it's available from the extension exchange at macromedia.com
