After messin with pure asp upload to work right (all damn night) to no avail i called my web host to see if i needed special permissions to do so. And there was my answer! The are rightfully concerned that by giving my site permission to upload from my site to their server, that they put there self at risk form hackers, spammers & virus'. Obviously a ton of people use this extention and i will need it for several more sites, so how do we solve this issue? I want them to feel secure in hosting my sites. Has anyone had this problem before? What did you do to fix it? I just want them to feel ok about doing this.
thanks once again in advance!

A couple of things I can think of:

- by limiting the file extensions (file types) that can be uploaded, you can ensure that no *.exe, *.vbs, *.vir etc. files can be uploaded to the site
- Are you using this for an Admin Section? Then you can secure the area with a psd/usrnm so that only select people will have access, thereby adding more security and creating less chance that anything malicious will occur

Anyone else? (I personally haven't had any negative issues with this)
