<font face='Book Antiqua'>i'm somewhat new to dreamweaver and i just installed a custom scrollbar extension. it seemed to install itself correctly, but now when i try to view my pages in a preview browser, it renames my page to TMPj4gl5yn7t5.htm instead, of say, site_options.htm ... anyway, then the browser always says the file wasnt found. first of all, how can i fix this? second, if i cant fix it, how do i uninstall the extension?

nevermind, i figured it out... well, sort of. apparently, i cant preview my pages using an application server. to be honest, i dont know what this means, so if anyone can clarify this, that'd be great.

Using an application server like PWS or IIS to view files is only needed if you are using a dynamic language (ASP, CF etc..)
If it's just plain old html and javascript then just previewing it in the browser will work.
It will rename your page to the TMPfre5e5.html or whatever just for its own convienience, as thats all it is, is a TMP = temporary file.
