I am attempting to develop a system that allows customers to create and pay for a listing and have the listing go live automatically. I intend to use paypal for the credit card payment at this point. I am not sure how to accomplish a couple of tasks. The customer will fill out a form that gathers all of the contact info and the listing info. Then upon hitting the submit button I assume the info should go to the database as well as take them to paypal? Once they have completed the transaction successfully will paypal return some variable that will be inserted into the database that will be used to determine if the listing is live or not? Also, how do I get this variable to be inserted into the database automatically. Thanks for any suggestions. I have never attempted this type of operation and I can use all of the help I can get.
