Invalid use of Null: 'Cstr'

This is the error message I got after having success with the dynamic links from a master page to the details page.
Has anyone experience this before.
I couldn't believe it. This is code the Ultradev placed in my asp page, it worked a couple of times during my testing then it gives me this error message the next time i tried my links.
I followed the instructions from the Ultradev book.
What's the problem?

You can't use CStr if DB field value is Null.
