Securing file upload.

HiI wonder if there are any error checks when the file is uploaded.
If the file by any reason won't be uploaded what kind of error message do you receive.
If you use https can you use the acknowledge of this to ensure that the file is uploaded correctly, and if the upload fails use https error to retry upload?
