Dear Thunder-Boy,
Get out of your house NOW! DW has sent a message to the Skynet mainframe at Macromedia HQ - even as we speak, a cybernetic organism has been dispatched to your home!!

My advice - "Come with me, if you want to live..."

Regards,
Brent

Unless you actually do "wed" design.

Thunder - not trying to be a smart-a$$, but you know as much as we do - Dreamweaver encountered a fatal exception. Since the message gives you no specifics and the message itself tells you nothing beyond that, we can tell you nothing.

Check your system logs and see if you can find what module it was executing or a memory location or something. It would be helpful if you told us what you were doing in DW when this occurred, and if it's something you can cause to occur on demand. THEN you might get a useful response.

Oh, and I liked the Terminator thing, too. One of the better non-answers I've seen. <img src=../images/mxzone/forum/icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>

OK Ned Frankly,
The window with this problem appeared when I was trying renomear in the name of a field input by the way designer, in the box property.
And suddenly when I pressured &lt;ENTER&gt; to confirm, it arose this message, and immediately Dreamweaver it closes.

This is an old bug from the Dreamweaver version 3 days - what version are you using?

I used to periodically get the same problem when changing form field names from within code view in the original UltraDev. If you're using DMX, then Macromedia definitely needs to know about it because it was (apparently) fixed in DW4/UD4. If you're on any version of UD or DW prior to MX, you will probably have to upgrade (unless a patch was issued that I'm not aware of).
