I have been using Ultradev for about 2 years and have been having great results (programming in ASP). I have recently started using JSP and am having a tough time getting Ultradev and JSP to play nicely. Unfortunately, I don't have a really robust test computer and am hoping that this isn't the problem! I'm running Win98 with PWS and Resin 2.1.4. I am able to serve JSP pages with this configuration and am also able to talk to an Access database. I have Ultradev configured properly and can see the JSP 'server' and database through Ultradev, but for some reason, lots of errors are thrown when I actually upload my pages generated straight from Ultradev. It really takes a lot of code tweaking to get them to work. I never really ran into this problem when working with ASP! Is there that much of a difference between the two languages? Am I having trouble because of the OS I'm using? I am also designing these pages on a Mac with Ultradev 1. Could this be the problem? As I said, that the pages all work within Ultradev, just when I move them live that the errors are thrown!

Anyone encounter similar problems? Any solutions short of upgrading my systems and versions? And, will that even make a difference? I am quite new at JSP but would really like to learn (actually, need to learn) and I was hoping Ultradev would be the way to go. There are so many things that I don't yet know how to do and was hoping UD would bridge the learning curve.
