Hi,

This is a bit challenging... I need to create a page with a map in it. The user should be able to draw an area on it with a mouse so just as the pen tool does in Fireworks (point to point until it is closed), clickinging on the submit button should save the coordinates in a access db field and make that area un-availabble to others. have no idea where to start on this (Flash, javascript, ...), Any and all suggestions will be tremendously appreciated.

That would have to be done in flash using some pretty serious actionscripting. If you are not a flash guru I would either find a simpler way to get your message across or hire someone who knows how to do it. Try www.flashkit.com
