IS there anyway that we can create an application to send email automatically to customer without anybody even touching any page at all? Hope what I'm talking about is clear.

I have heard that in UNIX, there is a "component" call CRONJOB, that can launch application or script on the background , something like an scheduler. Can we do this in Windows platform?

Thanks leed, I know about CDONT, but how do I make it send mail automatically without anyone triggering any pages?

I'm talking about some senario like some website sending birthday message to members few days before the actual day. Is what I'm talking about clear enough?
