When I perform a repeat region on my recordset and choose “display all records” on the page, my page works perfectly, however when I choose to display one record per page things go funny. The record will say 1 of 17 records – I choose the nav arrow to go to the next record and instead to going to the next record in my returned recordset I am taken to the first record in the table.

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated

well i'd say it because you cant repeat the sum of 1, try repeating two and i'd bet it works.

if you just need one record, then just git rid of the repeat region and have a recordset nav panel on its own.
