Everyone,I have been noticeing lately that almost none of the newbies are adding the server, programming language or DB type when they are asking questions.
What that has lead to is individuals taking their time to create a response (often even writing the actual code for them) and getting a response of "Oh, that won't work because I am writing in PHP. Can you write it for me in that language?"
For this and other reasons PLEASE state the following when making posts/asking questions:
1.) <b>Development or Server Platform</b> (Windows/Linux/SUN, etc.)
2.) <b>Coding Language</b> (ASP VB/ASP JS/PHP/CF/JSP, etc.)
3.) <b>Database Type</b> (Access/SQL Server/MySQL/Oracle, etc.)
4.) <b>Application Type</b> (DW/UD/MX, etc.)
One easy way to do this is to add that information to your signature so that it is displayed everytime you post - saving you time and also helping you get pertinent answers.
Thanks for listening and let's keep this forum as awesome and helpful as it has been.

Last week i saw the same question asked over 5 times !!
5 times why does my template forget code ?!
I answered 2 people with connection errors, I start with:
IS THERE A DSN ON YOUR HOST SERVER, they answer sure there is, and after a message or 3, 4...there was no DSN configured on my server.
Note to the people in question, it's nothing personal against you, but if you used the search function here in the zone you will find many times the same answers.
With kind regards,
