[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement.
/modul_psyarah/upload_tajuk.asp, line 90" while attemping to insert a form in my web page.the line 90 in the code says something like this:cmd=Execute.i checked my code and it's supposed to work coz i used the server behaviour command to set up the insert page.or is the error caused by the server?i set the properties to read and scripts.should i set the properties (in pws) to execute?i'm using ultradev 4 and pws 4.0

Zoe,

Please look at this MM technote, I will update the zone's FAQ's as soon as George gives me the rights to add a nice Server error section.

ok, thanx.now, i got this File Not Found error when trying to preview my design page in IE.is it because i didn't configure the pws and the site definition correctly?here is the configuration for both pws and my site.maybe it can help:

Site definition in Ultradev 4:

Local Info
Site name: SSPI
Local root folder: C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\SSPIRemote Info
Access:Local/Network
Remote folder: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\SPPIApplication server
Server model: ASP 2.0
Scripting language: VBScript
Access:Local/Network
Remote folder: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\SPPI URL prefix:localhost/

PWS:

Home directory: C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\SSPI
Access: Read, Execute, Scripts

Zoe,

Can you change your site definition to something resembling this setup:

Local Info:
Site name: SSPI
Local root folder: C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\SSPI

Remote Info:
Access:None

Application Server:
Server model: ASP 2.0
Scripting language: VBScript
Access:Local/Network
Remote folder: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\SPPI
URL prefix:localhost/SPPI

The tab window "Remote Info" I never use, I believe it is included for shared folders and for using Local PWS or IIS and remote FTP as described in this article:
www.macromedia.com/support/ultradev/ts/documents/pws_ftp.htm

And also the URL prefix pointed to your C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ folder, therefore the files could not be found, the browser received a request from UltraDev that pointed to a wrong folder.

Also, please make sure that in the "edit -> preferences" menu under tab window "Preview in Browser" that the checkbox "Preview using Application Server" is checked.

dennis,i've tried what you told me but unfortunately,my pages aren't still displayed properly.just out of my curiosity,do i need to have an active connection to the Internet to get the pages displayed?especially when i try to preview them in browser(when i click F12 in ultradev)

I don't think an active connection is required, but when I'm developing at home and my provider is down or I don't have a connection I grow very frustrated by the dozens of "you do not have a connection to the internet, do you want to work offline ?" notifications.

If you have all your files on the server before you press F12 then the page should load as you designed it.

And I must have missed your last two lines when I replied, you have to change these permissions:

PWS:

Home directory: C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\SSPI
Access: Read, Execute, Scripts

Change them to

Home directory: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\SPPI
Access: Read, Execute, Scripts

Make sure the underlying folder(s) inherit these permissions and you will be fine <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

Let me know if you can get it to work now.

Hello Zoe,

I'm no microsoft expert and when I experienced that in win98 I just did a reïnstall of windows over my current installation.

For more about the cannot find cd-rom issue please look here:
