I work in the industrial real estate maket and have been asked to produce a spam page that will list a building with its picture and link it abeck to a website page with more building data. This is a spam email but just directed at a certain select group of customers.
I use Dreamweaver 4 and just bought MX. How can I do this? Are there tutorials? How can I do this without getting fired for a bad job?
Thanks much,
Gary

I hate spammers, they only spam me once... But I think my older adresses got harvested and circulated on CD-ROM in the USA and some korean / chinese talking countries because they just keep coming.
I keep reporting, but it never stops. Dutch spammers and free email spammers get killed by me.
Now you understand why I won't help you, spammers like you are after ME.
I'm not even going to mention that you could just look for mailinglist tutorials or something like that on this website, so there :-P
Oh, a bit of advice, include a click here to remove you from our database link, which WORKS and removes the email out of the list. Cause if you don't provide that in your UNSOLICITED emails, you are breaking the law.

I think you misunderstand! I don't want to spam! I want to communicate within a community...A small comunity.
You are not in that community. I'm not either, thankfully! This method of selling is useful, actually. People in this market welcome this spam. I think that random spamming is like putting a bug in the water supply...not entertaining!
Spam might just give rise to another, higher use!
Thanks for the breadth of your vision,
Gary

Well, technically speaking - you are basically just creating a static HTML page with images that have full-hardcoded links, not relative ones.
So, do everything like a normal page, then instead of an image url being ".../images/pic1.jpg" or whatever, it would need to be "www.yoursite.com/images.pic1.jpg" so that they will be able to view it from their email client.
Good luck.

Well there was some confusion, probably cause it's 2am here in Europe, but I got a reply from the author and the new links is here:
www.dmxzone.com/showDetail.asp?TypeId=2&NewsId=1261
It still checks to see if any of 6 mail components are installed on your server, if you get a affirmative reply you can look for specific component tutorials for your "spam" mailing list.
On a side note, the same external link let's you try / download a script that checks for 308 COM objects on the server !
