Dreamweaver - Cleanup
27 Nov 2002 22:42:22 Steve J posted:
Hi, new user to DW/MX we have just taken over another design company.. and let me say.. what a mess!! I am haveing to do alot of updateing on these sites.. and there are so many redundant files it's not funny. Someone told me that with the older versions of DW you could do a site 'cleanup' I mean have Dreamweaver delete any files not being used/linked.. whatever. If someone could help me with this I would be very gratefull. Also, let me know if there are problems that may occur with something like this. (ie: graphics in PHP or whotnot) Any advice would be great. First post =) (for me anyways)

In the SITE menu there is a "check links" command which will check for redundant links etc but it doesn't automatically delete them.
In the COMMANDS menu there is a "clean up html" command which allows you to delete nested tags and empty tags and so on from the current page.
Maybe it's these you are thinking of.
