Is this a bug or do I do something wrong :

The function 'Make unique' for the filenames does not work when you use the Smart Image Processor. It overwrites the upload when you try to use the same upload filename again.

Anyone a solution for this problem ?

This should work - if you use make unique a new filename will be generated anyway - and then processed with SIP - so it should be ok.

Maybe you have selected to overwrite instead of make uniq?

Nope, thats ok.

make unique is selected.
It worked just fine untill I used SIP.

maybe something went wrong with insert record command I used. (doubt it)

I found the problem !!!

you can't use .gif or .bmp files.
the files will be overwritten if you use the same filename again. even if you checked the 'make unique' option.

another little glitch : processing animated GIF with SIP wont resize or make icons. (but will upload both files in JPG @ original size of first frame)

Hope you can find a cure

Which server component do you use for resize? If it is Auto Detect - run the detection script from www.dmxzone.com/go?3984 and let me know which components are supported.

I installed the component that came with SIP. Installed it onto the server, ran the detection script and saw it also supported ASP.NET.
I havn'nt been able to test it with .net

So did you had the same problems with our own component?

you will see what I mean.

do you intent to change the extention or is it a fault in the component ?
