If you want to print something quite structured you need to fix the size of the page so use pixels, also you need a bit of trial and error to find out how many pixels wide fits on an A4 sheet of paper, I can't remmember of the top of my head.

Set up a new page and put a table on it with a border, print the page and adjust the tabe width and re-print until it fits OK to find the maximum printable width in pixels.

Bear in mind that it's all a bit of a compromise because a user may have adjusted the default margin widths when printing from their browser.

However if its basically just text you can set up a separate page either without any tables or tables that are 100% wide, which will stretch to fit the print area.

When I set up a "Print this Page" I usually create a separate page for printing which is stripped of all Navigation elements etc. Take a look at any of the articke pages on 4GuysFromRolla.com and you'll see what I mean: aspnet.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/010803-1.aspx
