ftp program

Sorry if this is not the correct forum to post in but can you answer this question for me?I want to create an ftp server for my office (architecture firm) because we have large drawing files that sometimes are time consuming for us to e-mail out and some consultants e-mail servers can only download up to a certain size file (ex: 2mb). What i'd like to do is create an ftp server where all we have to do is e-mail the link to the file/folders and have them download it from there...less time spent on our side. If anyone knows of a good ftp program that is pretty secure please let me know what you are using or what you would recommend. I am looking for a program that you can set security levels or passwords to specific folders if possible.
Thanks in advance!

Dear Rob,
The security is directly related to the person administering the box - I'm guessing you're asking about Windows FTP servers - the most popular being:
www.serv-u.com/body.htm
