I've used it before on another server to make thumbnails and resize and it worked. Now i'm using it on a different server and I've ran the detect file to make sure it would work.

It says I have ASP.NET installed and it will work. But when i try it out on the server it just uploads the image, but doesn't resize it or make a thumbnail?

Any ideas?

Do I have to send an email to my hosting company (experthost.com) so they can set the full access to the images folder?

Please check the permissions for the user ASPNET - see FAQ: www.dmxzone.com/go?4071

If you don't have access - let your hosting company verify it for you.

George

I agree with biohazart. Obviously it is not just me who cannot get SIP to work on ASP.NET.

I have emailed George Petrov numerous times and still no response or any help.

When used the detector on my site it said SIP will run, but it does not. I think that I, and everyone else who paid for a product which does not work as advertised should get there money back.

I figured out the problem I had with SIP.
The first problem was de problem with ASPnet user configuration. This was solved by my hosting provider.
The second problem was an "upgrade" error.
I used a previously created file with PUREASPupload and upgraded this page with SIP, but didn´t remove the upload restrictions like width, height and size in the PUREASPupload behavior, making SIP not work.

I'm also having problems with ASP.NET and SIP. The detect.asp file does not detect any server component but my hosting company says they have ASP.NET installed. What should I have them check besides the ASPNET user account permissions? Shouldn't it at least be detecting ASP.NET on the server?

Thanks for your help!

The ASP.NET is done by calling the special aspx file included, in asp we can not simple include this, so we use the xmlhttp object to communicate with ASP.NET. This is where most goes wrong, we support 3 different xmlhttp objects, but if they are not uptodate or not available, you can't use ASP.NET, even if it is installed on the server.

The detect.asp does the same as the autodetect function in the Smart Image Processor, so if the detect.asp does not find ASP.NET, Smart Image Processor will also not work with it

Okay... what a lot of text! Does anyone has the Smart Image Processor worked fine on a Win2003 server with IIS6.0... and, if so, how did you solve the problem(s).

We have PAU and SIP working fine on a variety of platforms including Win2000 Pro, Win2000 Server and Win XP Pro.

Biggest issue seemed to be folder permissions.

Why not integrate the two products fully as one piece of software? Multiple file uploads of differnent types and val;idation would also be very useful.
