I need to give users the ability to upload an image (low res) for display with the option to also upload a ZIP file containing matching groups of images and/or a high resolution version.
Other users will have the option to download a zip or right click/save the displayed image.
Can I limit the file type to zip on a second upload field with Pureupload?
It seems that only one file type profile can be created.

Also, can I upload the related file sizes to the database for user reference before download?

Currently the file limitations work only for all file uploads fields. So you can't really distinguish. We will provide better solution for this in the next major release.

Also you can't save the file size currently in the database. Same as above.
