this is a very simple thing i want to do. make a fixed frame on the top and bottom of the browser and the main frame in the middle. the top and bottom are navigation bars. when i use the "fixed top, fixed bottom" template when making a new document , the pages come up , i save them and name them correctly but when i go to view in my browser internet explorer tells me that the 'file is not found' and none of the frames i made, or the frameset are showing in the browser at all. please , help. any questions? Hi there,
Sounds like you haven't made all the files you need.
For your page you will ned a top.html, a middle.html, a bottom.html and an index.html ( your frameset code ). make sure you have the four files.
The index page will hold the information about your frames only and the links to the pages to be shown in each frame, it sounds like that page is missing, the other pages should just be normal html pages.
hope that helps
