Hi Guys,

Am building a site currently, I am using rollovers in the menu bar
which appears on the left hand side [vertical]. The rollovers are
simple. The initial state is an opaque button, the mouse over state is
a non opaque version of the same button. There are 5 buttons.

I use both DREAMWEAVER MX and FIREWORKS MX. I created each rollover
button in FIREWORKS seperately. I then cut and pasted the individually
generated HTML code into the new webpage for each button. The Java
Script detail was also added to the header section. The preload files
then added to the BODY tag.

I tested this page with the rollovers on one PC I have PIII, 500mB
Ram, 32mB Vid Card and it worked like a dream. I then tried it on a
PI, 100mB Ram, 2mB Vid Card and in came the flicker whenever you
mouseover any of the buttons. The whole page flickers just at
mouseover.

I then tried another site I did before, which has smaller buttons than
above. I tried it on the lower spec'ed PC - low and behold no flicker.
All the general code in both sites for rollovers is the same.

Needless to say I am baffled. So, over to you guys, is this a refresh
problem on lower spec'ed PC's? Is there a better way of building the
rollover besides above? I wish to make the site work for as wide a
spec audience as possible with Rollovers.

Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you. No, I did not use
Dreamwaver Layers. Both sites are built around simple tables.
